Well, LeBron James has decided to come West which means the Denver Nuggets are a lock to miss the playoffs again… or are they?

Sure, the Lakers got a lot better adding the greatest player in the world to their roster, but the Denver Nuggets should not concern themselves with that.

The Nuggets as of right now, still are in better shape than the Lakers. While the Western Conference did just get more competitive, the Nuggets are hungrier than hell to prove the whole NBA landscape wrong next year and show just how dominant they can be when healthy.

Right now, the Lakers are an eighth seed at best in the stacked Western Conference. Unless Los Angeles can pull off some other moves here in the coming weeks, the Nuggets should not concern themselves too much with how the terrain of the West is altering.

On the Nuggets, you have Nikola Jokic who very well could be a MVP candidate next year. You also have Jamal Murray. A young guard who has flashes of the next Steph Curry once in a while. You have Gary Harris, an elite two way player who just gets better every season.

Finally, you still have a veteran four time All Star at the power forward spot in Paul Millsap. The same player who was sidelined most of last year with a wrist injury and is looking to bounce back and have a statement season.

Meanwhile, what do the Lakers have outside of James and Kyle Kuzma? Exactly, that is what I thought. Not to mention, they are in severe danger of losing one of their past lottery picks in Julius Randle to free agency.

Yes, the Los Angeles Lakers are a better team now with LeBron. However, they are still not better than the promising Denver Nuggets and that is a fact.
