The Denver Nuggets are hardly given any respect from ESPN, but they have taken it too far this time.

ESPN was recently talking about the new contract Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is most likely to accept worth $156 million for four years.

Not too bad right? Not unless you were actually watching the television. When discussing Jokic, they actually showed highlights of Jusuf Nurkic, the former Denver Nuggets player who quit on the team. The player who thinks he is actually something now that he is on the Portland Trail Blazers.

However, that is a story for another day. ESPN needs to be held accountable for their complacency and habit of seemingly going out of their way to not give the Denver Nuggets their credit.

Whoever was responsible for showing the highlights of Nikola Jokic needs to either be severely disciplined and/or yes, even fired. This time, ESPN has gone over the limit and made all of Nuggets Nation rightfully upset with their incompetence.

The Nuggets are one of the up and coming teams. Not just the Western Conference, but the entire NBA as well. Nikola Jokic has a huge part in that success. The fact they showed a below average center who has a more developed mouth than his game, it nothing short of complete disrespect of the Serbian sensation.

Not only should ESPN be held accountable for their despicable action. The Denver Nuggets fan base should also go on to ESPN’s social media and rip them a new one on their failure. Their failure to give Nikola Jokic his earned respect and their failure to actually give the Denver Nuggets some credit for once.

Instead, they are too busy looking for their new purple and gold jerseys which say James on the back of them.

I know this was harsh, but after a certain point, it is time for something to be said.
