After the Denver Nuggets traded Wilson Chandler. There is still work to be done when it comes to their financial situation.

The Denver Nuggets have been one of the more active teams in free agency so far. They started off by re-signing Will Barton and Nikola Jokic to long term deals and were even in talks for the LeBron James sweepstakes.

The Nuggets made another move by trading Wilson Chandler to the Philadelphia 76ers in order to shed some salary. However, there is another player they need to trade in order to pursue other key free agents.

That player would be Darrell Arthur. While Arthur is the consummate professional, we did not really see a ton of playing time from the veteran big man this past season.

While Kenneth Faried would be the ideal trade target, it seems as if no team wants to take on his bloated and expiring deal.

Arthur is the type of player who would have a place on any NBA team. He is extremely efficient and knows his role. According to basketball reference,  Arthur had an effective field goal percentage of 55.3% and also possessed a true shooting percentage of 55.9% this past season. He knows how to utilize his versatility.

Not to mention, we rarely hear about him in the news. However, in hindsight, that could actually be a good thing. There should be a handful teams out there who could find a place on their respective roster for Arthur.

He won’t impact them in a positive way like LeBron James will a team. He can still be a great player to have coming off the bench. Sadly, Arthur doesn’t seem to have a place in Denver’s rotation anymore, so it is time to kill two birds with one stone.
