Eastern Conference

  1. Boston Celtics

"They are going to be the best team in the East for years to come if they can stay together and healthy. You get a healthy Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward to insert into the dominant team from last year."

2. Toronto Raptors

"They’re still the team that won the most games in the Eastern Conference last year. Pending a trade of either Valenciunus or Ibaka, this team should still be dangerous, especially now that LeBron is in Los Angeles."

3. Philadelphia 76ers

"Another year of the process, another year of more success. Simmons and Embiid are going to be forces to deal with down the road. However, until Simmons becomes a legitimate threat from outside the paint, they will have a ceiling."

4. Milwaukee Bucks

"The Greek Freak got another year of experience under his belt. He is going to come back hungrier and better than ever. Now that they have a scoring big man threat in Brook Lopez, look for Milwaukee to scare some people."

5. Washington Wizards

"Still one of the top back courts in the league with John Wall and Bradley Beal. Add Dwight Howard to the mix to clean up the boards and maybe you have a team that can make some noise?"

6 .Indiana Pacers

"Very talented and will hopefully build off of Oladipo’s career year last year. If they can add some more fire power to the back court, they could easily move higher than a six seed."

7. Miami Heat

"Not sure where to put the Heat given the fallout of Hassan Whiteside. Without him, you have all-star Goran Dragic, a few key role guys and an old Dwyane Wade. This might not be the blueprints of a win now or win later team for Spoelstra."

8. Detroit Pistons

"The eight seed is an absolute toss up in the Eastern Conference. Detroit has a great shot since they will have a full year of Blake Griffin leading the way. Next: Western Conference"
