Nikola Jokic

Projected Rating: 91

This rating would put Jokic up near the NBA’s elite, and that’s exactly where he deserves to be.

Last year, Jokic started the year with an 88 overall and eventually progressed up to an 89 overall. I think that he not only will be bumped up two points, but he’ll have deserved it as well.

He is one of three players all time to average 6.1+ assists per game in a season while being 6’10 or taller. He also ranked 15th in assists per game throughout the entire league and 20th in assist percentage.

This season, he averaged the ninth most rebounds per game in the league while ranking top 20 in offensive and defensive rebound percentage.

He solidified his reputation as an advanced statistics phenom. He ranked fifth in the league in box plus/minus and value over replacement player. Jokic had the 8th most win shares and the 12th most win shares per 48 minutes. He had the 13th best PER in the league and the 19th best offensive rating. I can go on and on, but I think you get the point.

The Joker has proven himself to be an elite player in this league and therefore deserves to be rated like one in 2K.
