The Denver Nuggets have perhaps the most overlooked player in the league on their roster.
Of course, I am talking about the Denver Nuggets’ two way player, Gary Harris. Even after a career year, no one seems to be talking about him.
When they do, it always seems to be in ridiculous trade rumors. I am only going to say this one time. If the team were to trade Harris, it would be a terrible move.
Going back to the original topic, it is time for the rest of the league to start giving Gary his due credit. His trajectory is very similar to Jimmy Butler’s when he was growing and developing. Harris has improved incrementally every year of his career so far.
Every Denver fan knows he looked like a bust in his rookie year, but then saw a major jump in his sophomore season. Little did we know, this was only the beginning. Harris has became Denver’s premier two way player and has became one of the most underrated shooters in the league.
In the 2016-17 season, he was actually a top 10 three point shooter in the entire NBA. Last season, Harris averaged 17.5 points per game to go along with a field goal percentage of 48.5%. His three point percentage was 39.6% which was only a slight dip from the season before when he shot 42% from deep.
On top of that, the man also averaged 1.8 steals per game and a steal percentage of 2.6%. One could also argue that he was an All Star snub last season if one takes a look at his stats compared to the other shooting guards around the league.
Of course, we cannot forget his clutch gene which saw him a game winning three against the Thunder at one point!

Harris has quickly became a key part of the Denver Nuggets’ core and it is time for the rest of the NBA to start noticing how dangerous of a weapon he is for the team.
