The Denver Nuggets’ president of basketball operations, Tim Connelly, deserves a lot of credit.

Has he made some mistakes with this Denver Nuggets team? Yes, but please show me a single general manager in the league who is perfect. You simply cannot.

Whether you want to admit it or not, Connelly’s track record with the Nuggets so far has more positives than negatives. Yes, he traded Rudy Gobert to the Jazz, but other than that, the moves have been beneficial.

Do not even mention Nurkic who has a more developed mouth than game and the Nuggets drafted Donovan Mitchell FOR the Utah Jazz. ( I am getting sick of hearing fans complain about us apparently trading Mitchell when that was not the case at all.)

Denver now looks poised to take the league by storm soon after years of rebuilding. The key was good rebuilding though.

With draft picks who were terrific hits such as Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris, Connelly has now created an intriguing team in the Mile High not named the Broncos. It got the attention of Dwyane Wade a couple summers back. It lured Paul Millsap to seek a fresh start. Now, Isaiah Thomas is coming to try to show the league he can still be the All NBA Second Team player he was a couple years ago after a relatively down season.

Connelly has also solidified Denver’s cornerstone piece in Jokic long term along with Gary Harris and Will Barton. Not to mention, he and the organization may have gotten an absolute steal in Michael Porter Jr. even though he will most likely not play this coming season.

You can complain about Connelly if you want, but just know, his supporters have legitimate facts and proof on his side.
