People keep hyping up the overrated Lakers and overlook the Denver Nuggets.

With that being said, the Denver Nuggets are going to be better than the Los Angeles Lakers this next season.

Yes, I know the Lakers now have LeBron. However, name another game changer on their team outside of him. That is right, there is none.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets have Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and a newly added Isaiah Thomas. Not to mention, they will be getting their four time All Star in Paul Millsap back healthy for this year.

Denver has continued to improve their record ever since head coach, Michael Malone, took over the team. Many people are even comparing this squad to the young Golden State Warriors before they exploded and took the league by storm all those seasons ago.

Also, let’s not act as if LeBron had absolutely NO help in Cleveland. Kevin Love was an All Star and despite a relatively down playoff run, he is still one of the better big men in the league.

LeBron does not have a “Kevin Love,” currently in Los Angeles whereas the Nuggets have a core of players who have developed San Antonio Spur like chemistry over the years. Unless the Lakers can swing a big trade to bring in a legitimate second star to pair with LeBron, then the Denver Nuggets are still a better squad.

The media is just too star struck with Los Angeles and seems to be more enamored with pretty lights and purple and gold rather than watching real basketball.

Do not mention past championships to me. That is in the past and we are talking about the future, in particular, next season. It is getting tiresome constantly hearing about the Lakers while the Nuggets get no credit.
