The Denver Nuggets’ Gary Harris has became one of the best shooters in the NBA which is massively overlooked.
Gary Harris of the Denver Nuggets has evolved to become one of the best catch and shoot players in the league. Per NBA.com, Harris possessed a catch and shoot field goal percentage of 41.4% to go along with a catch and shoot percentage from three point land of 41.3%.
A very solid three point percentage in terms of catching and shooting. His two point field goal percentage in terms of catching and shooting of 44.4%. He also had an effective field goal percentage in this department of 60.2% which is extremely impressive.
Harris has done a great job of improving his jump shooting ever since he came into the league. He has quickly solidified as one of Denver’s better players ever since a rookie season which was less than promising.
We all know of his defensive ability, but Harris has been extremely great in improving his offensive game. Last season, we saw him make a ton of jump shots when he was set up from other teammates.
It is easy to get a ton of open looks as well when the great Nikola Jokic is finding ways to get opportunities for his teammates.
Harris’ frequency percentage on catch and shoot shots was 34.7% which was more than his percentage of on pull up shots which was 30.2% this past season. On top of all this, Gary Harris had an impressive game winning three point shot over the Oklahoma City Thunder this past year as the clock expired.
It was set up by Nikola Jokic on an in bounds play. You guessed it, it was a set shot which Harris knocked down with ease.
