Denver Nuggets: Top 10 enforcers in Nuggets history
By Blake Holmes
For the greatest enforcer in Denver Nuggets history, I have K-Mart, Kenyon Martin.
Did you really expect me to say anybody else? Kenyon Martin’s main impact on the basketball floor for the Nuggets, except for his post game, revolved around the use of his on-the-court persona.
He was a guy that could get the crowd amped in any situation, and didn’t back down from an enemy crowd in any circumstance. I mean, look at the picture, he’s clearly not backing down from one of the greatest crowds in the NBA, the Staples Center.
That takes guts, and a cocky attitude. He was very vocal about things as well, most recently in a book about coming out and explaining his dislike for former coach George Karl, and was never afraid of a challenge.
These comments, coming out in 2016, aren’t a testament to being a bad teammate. Kenyon was always ready to step out and defend his team, and nobody was a problem.
On a team that was filled with lots of great talent, Kenyon continued to put himself in the picture with consistent play, and memorable moments.
That is the true definition of an enforcer.
