4) Defense

As just mentioned, defense wins championships and while the Nuggets have struggled defensively.

Next year figures to be different. How different, it remains to be seen, but the Denver Nuggets should benefit defensively from a healthy Paul Millsap and Mason Plumlee.
Plus Jamal Murray’s I.Q. and drive should lead to improvement too.

Do not forget, the Nuggets were without their defensive quarterback in Paul Millsap last season for a total of 44 games which hindered their defensive progress.

Not to mention the fact that coach Malone is actually a defense-minded coach which should mean another season will engender further improvement on the defensive end as well.
