Juancho Hernangomez

Hernangomez was Denver’s best surprise, scoring 19 points in 23 minutes. Juancho shot the ball magnificently, drilling 6-of-11 attempts (5-of-8 3-PT).

He tallied a stunning three blocks, as well as five rebounds, and an assist. He turned the ball over three times, his only blemish of the evening (NBA).

Sure, it’s only preseason. But this is exactly what Hernangomez needed. Entering his third season, the clock is starting to tick on Juancho. Last night, coach Malone saw a legitimate NBA player.

This version of Hernangomez could help Denver as a high-octane bench scorer. Hats off to Juancho, he posted an excellent game. Now it’s time to build on this performance.
