Denver Nuggets: Grading the starting five from the win
By Mathew Huff
Monte Morris- B
Morris did pretty good filling in as the starting point guard. The former Cyclone finished with 12 points to go along with four assists and four rebounds.
He controlled the tempo and had minimal mistakes. He even made a couple nice fad away jump shots which looked very difficult.
The good thing is that he is proving that the Nuggets’ point guard spot is in good hands no matter who is starting. Morris did a good job filling in for Jamal Murray in this preseason game and it helped translate into a key preseason victory over the LeBron James led Los Angeles Lakers.
The starting five was a mixed bag of performances, but all in all, it was still enough for the Nuggets to get a narrow victory.
