The starters for the Denver Nuggets came up big in the win over Chicago.

The Denver Nuggets were able to bounce back with a road win after they suffered a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Nuggets were able to overcome a late surge by the Chicago Bulls and come with a 98-93 victory.

Thanks to the starting unit, Denver got a convincing win to help close out the preseason. What is interesting, is that the second unit, who has shined so bright this preseason, finally had a game where most of them struggled. Guys like Malik Beasley and Mason Plumlee struggled compared to the last two games.

The only one off the bench who had an overall productive game was Trey Lyles. Lyles ended up finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds to go along with shooting 44.4% from the field as well.

The core trio was able to piece together a great all around performance from all three players for the first time this preseason. Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and Nikola Jokic were great and showed us a glimpse of what is to come this new regular season. Not to mention, Paul Millsap and Will Barton also played solid games as well despite what their scoring totals may say.

Now, they will shift their focus to the one and only team who defeated them during the preseason. That would be the Los Angeles Clipper who they will play opening night of the regular season. So, which players stood out and which ones were somewhat underwhelming.

Without further adieu, let’s assign some player grades to the starting five for the Denver Nuggets.
