The Denver Nuggets will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers one night after playing the Chicago Bulls.

With that being said, this is the classic trap game for the Denver Nuggets.

Not only are they on the back end of a back to back, they are also playing a “lesser,” team on the road on this mid west road trip.

The Cavaliers have not gotten off to the greatest starts ever since LeBron James departed for the bright lights of Los Angeles.

They have already fired their head coach, Ty Lue, and have only won a total of one game so far. However, the Nuggets have been known to lose these types of games. Last season, they had a bad habit of losing the “gimme,” games and it was a big factor in keeping them out of the Western Conference post season.

If they had handled business against teams such as the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns, then they may not have needed to play a play in game against division rival Minnesota Timberwolves.

If the Nuggets can somehow handle their business against the Bulls and the Cavaliers the next night, then we will already see a grown up Nuggets team from last season. However, the Cavaliers are still a team to not be overlooked. Cleveland still has an All Star in Kevin Love and if Paul Millsap has an off night on the defensive end of the floor, then Love can get hot and light up Denver’s defense in a hurry.

If this happens, then the Nuggets could be in drastic trouble.

This game is a classic trap game for the  Nuggets and it is now time to find out what this team is really made of since last season and see how much they have grown up since the month of April.
