Denver Nuggets’ Defense

The NBA season is still young, less than 10 games old in fact. Yet already, the Nuggets’ defense has been solid in virtually every game.

It is a big reason why the Nuggets are 7-1, 2nd in the West with brighter days to come. Last night through 4 quarters, the Nuggets were once again successful in keeping the opposing team under 100 points scored.

The Denver Nuggets are proof that defense does indeed win games. Just like the Oklahoma City Thunder proved last season. However, Denver’s chances of their offense catching up to their defense is way better than OKC’s were.

After all, the Nuggets have been here and done this for the last few years or so. Whereas OKC was a one year, stand-alone experiment.

According to the NBA’s advanced stats the Denver Nuggets are 4th in the NBA in terms of their defense. Assuming Denver maintains this performance. The Nuggets are on course to win the war that is the NBA’s 82 game season. Especially, as the Denver continues to get their offense on track too.

Nikola Jokic is leading this team to higher heights and is playing on both ends.

The Nuggets have several players competing on both sides of the floor. For example: Nikola, Millsap, Harris, Murray, Beasley and the list goes on and on.
