Up next for the Denver Nuggets is the back-up point guard, Monte Morris.

When the Nuggets drafted Morris in the second round of the 2017 draft, I said that he was an absolute steal for when they got him.

Well, I’ve been right so far this season, as he has looked very impressive in the second unit, and this game was no different.

Morris played 22 minutes off the bench, and finished with 15 points on 7-11 shooting, two assists and six rebounds.

He also had a +2 plus-minus rating, and finished with no turnovers.

Morris’ effect goes beyond his stat-line, as when you watch him on the floor, his confidence with the basketball is almost unrivaled. He knows which pass he can and can’t make, and he plays with such care of the basketball, VERY rarely turning the ball over.

If he can keep this type of play up for a while, he’s going to give Coach Malone a very tough decision when Isaiah Thomas comes back.
