The Denver Nuggets are on top of the Western Conference and they have a real test ahead of them against the Toronto Raptors.
For the time being, the Denver Nuggets are the number one seed in the West with a 15-7 record, due to a tiebreaker with the Los Angeles Clippers. For those who do not remember, the Nuggets defeated the Clippers in the very first game of the regular season.
That record will be put to the test as they take on the Raptors in Toronto, a bout between the two top teams in the NBA.
The Nuggets have won five straight and beaten some impressive teams in that span, while the Raptors have won eight straight as well. The Raps will have home court advantage and the Nuggets will definitely have their hands full with this revitalized and extremely deep squad.
Any team with a prime Kawhi Leonard and a league leading assist leader in Kyle Lowry is always going to present a challenge, regardless of who is playing them.
We have not even dived into the terrific supporting cast for these two star players.
After all, it was not too long ago the defending champion Golden State Warriors lost to this Toronto squad.
Who should we key in on, and who should we consider as the key matchups?
Without wasting any more time, let’s get started.
