The injury bug is sweeping through the Denver Nuggets.

The Denver Nuggets are in a bit of trouble as of right now. Yes, they are still number one in the Western Conference, but that may not last long.

Sure, they still possess a top five defense in the league, but that will most likely drop off with the loss of their two best defensive players.

The injury bug has plagued Denver and it has hit them like a freight train.

We are not just talking one or two injuries, or an injury to a player who spends the majority of his time in the G League. Most of these injuries are crucial and could come back to haunt the team if the Nuggets are not careful and find a way to sustain their success while this hard time passes.

We knew coming into the regular season that Michael Porter Jr., and Jarred Vanderbilt, both rookies, would miss most of the year. With that fact in mind, we will not be discussing them for this particular piece since their role is still unclear having not played a single valuable NBA minute in their respective NBA careers as of yet.

Instead, we will be taking a closer look at the roles of the other injured players on the team who have already played, or will have a role solidified by the time they can return to NBA action.

So, without further adieu, let’s jump in and analyze our first injured Denver Nugget and what his role is on our exciting young team.
