4-23. . phoenix suns. 30. team. 66.

The Suns are clearly the worst team in the league right now. They are without their best player in Devin Booker, and they have dropped their last 9 games, and they are the only team in the league to have not won 5 games yet. Until they get Devin Booker back, they have no shot of moving much further up this list. And even then, the former Kentucky guard can only guide this young and inexperienced team so far.

6-22. . chicago bulls. 29. team. 24.

The Bulls are trying to give the Suns a run for their money as the worst team in the league right now. They are coming off the worst loss in franchise history to the Boston Celtics, losing by a staggering 56 points away from home. At the moment, they have the worst ORtg in the league(100.6) and their defense is not much better(9th worst DRtg in the league). This team has a bright future, but will not be playoff contenders this season.

cleveland cavaliers. 28. team. 156. . 6-21.

The Cavs are entering full tank mode. After foolishly thinking they could compete for the playoffs with an aging and ridiculously overpaid roster after LeBron James left for L.A., they have finally decided to blow up the team, trading Kyle Korver and George Hill in the past few weeks, with more veterans likely to exit soon. They are the owners of the league’s worst DRtg(116.1), and with Kevin Love still out with a broken toe, their ORtg is nearing the bottom 5 as well. As the season progresses, look for them to fall even further in these rankings as they trade away more vets for assets.

147. . 10-18. . Brooklyn Nets. 27. team

Since the injury of Caris LeVert, the Nets have been in free fall. They have won just 2 of their last 10 games, and while they have maintained a middle-of-the-road offense without him, their defense has not fared well(not that it was doing great with him on the court). Now without their breakout young star, the faint playoff hopes they possessed at the beginning of the season have all but completely faded, and they have fallen back into mediocrity. They may jump up these rankings once they get LeVert back, but for now, they sit at 27.

26. team. 125. . 6-20. . atlanta hawks

Everybody knew coming into the season what the Hawks’ intentions were for this season and they have not strayed from their goals. They are tanking hard, giving their young players a lot of touches, and prioritizing that over actually winning games. Trae Young has had his moments, as have Taurean Prince and John Collins and they have had some good games this year. They recently beat the Nuggets, they have beat the Heat twice this season and they have had very close games against the Lakers and the Warriors. Of all the clearly tanking teams, the Hawks seem to be the most talented(at least until they trade Kent Bazemore and Jeremy Lin).
