Despite all of the positives mentioned above, the Denver Nuggets are a work in progress and better basketball lies ahead for this team. Some of the areas where the Denver Nuggets have showed they have room for improvement are:
- turnovers
- free throws given away
- taking away the passing lanes during the pick and roll
- boxing out every time
- maintaining a fundamental defense stance and blocking the lane instead of back-pedaling and giving up high percentage shots
A common characteristic shared by all of the above areas?
They are all well within the control of the Denver Nuggets and straightforward to address. Simply watching game tape reveals these areas and the Denver Nuggets have already shown signs of addressing these weaknesses.
Which is exactly why, assuming health, a Denver Nuggets polished and playoff-ready are anticipated by yours truly.
