Trade #3

This trade could be a bit complicated as Dante Cunningham has a trade exception.

Cunningham does average a lot less points, but in terms of efficiency, the Nuggets don’t miss out on much in terms of production. Lyles is averaging a player efficiency rating of 12.8 this year whereas Cunningham has one of 10.7 while playing less minutes than Lyles.

Not to mention, Cunningham would get a lot more opportunities in Denver coming off the bench. Right now, Cunningham does not get a whole lot of playing opportunities with the Spurs, so he may be wanting to play for a different team in an effort to showcase his skill set.

However, a lot of this would hinge on Cunningham’s contract considering he does have a trade exception, ad alluded to already.

This trade is getting into high risk, high reward territory, but stranger things have happened, particularly in the NBA.
