Trade #5

Once again, Ed Davis has a trade exception like the other players alluded to earlier. However, that does not mean this trade is impossible.

Both of these players are on expiring deals, so if they do not pan out for either team, they are only stuck with them for half a season.

The Nuggets get some extra added rim protection with Davis and the Nets get some extra shooting from their front court with Trey Lyles. Not to mention, both teams remain relatively safe in terms of salary.

That will do it for this piece. Lyles may still remain a Denver Nugget for a long time, but if Denver were forced to make a trade, then he would be the candidate as he has been the weakest link for the Nuggets’ core who gets meaningful minutes this season.
