The Denver Nuggets will have Nikola Jokic representing them in the 2019 All-Star game, as well as the Skills Challenge. How will he fare on All-Star weekend?

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has had a phenomenal season. The Serbian big man was snubbed from the All-Star game last year, but got rewarded this year with his exceptional play.  At the All-Star break, Jokic is averaging 20.4 points on 50.5% shooting from the field, 10.6 rebounds, and 7.6 assists in 56 games. He is also contributing 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks per game, showing improvement on the defensive end.

Jokic earned his spot in the 2019 All-Star game, but he also got selected for the Skills Challenge, an event he was also selected for in 2017, as he was picked to replace Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.

Jokic beat Anthony Davis in the first round of the 2017 Skills Challenge, but then lost in the semifinals to then Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis.

The seven-foot center has been lauded for his ability to make insane passes that even some point guards can’t make. His court vision has helped the Nuggets space the floor, creating open looks for other shooters. Teams have begun to respect not only Jokic’s passing, but his shooting as well.

He has an array of post moves to get to the basket and one of the softest touches around the hoop in the league. He is a fun player to spectate, and the Nuggets fan base is blessed to be able to watch Jokic play night in and night out.

As the time for Jokic to shine creeps upon us, let’s take a look at how Jokic could fare on All-Star weekend.
