2019 Skills Challenge

Jokic is arguably the most skilled big man in the NBA. With his array of passing moves and shooting touch, it’s hard to find a better participant in the Skills Challenge than Jokic. However, he will have his fair share of competition on Saturday night.

Dallas Mavericks rookie phenom Luka Doncic will be participating, as will Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum. Doncic is at the forefront of the Rookie of the Year conversation, and Tatum is enjoying a nice sophomore season.

The other participants in the event are Sacramento Kings speedster point guard De’Aaron Fox, Memphis Grizzlies veteran point guard Mike Conley, Lakers young star Kyle Kuzma, Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young and Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic.

Jokic will need to be almost perfect to win the challenge, and watching Jokic throughout the season, it isn’t hard to believe he’ll do just that. He has all of the skills needed to win the competition, and he is a veteran of the competition, as he’s participated once already in the event.

It isn’t easy to take home the crown in this challenge, as just one mistake can lead to elimination. But as we’ve seen time and time again from Jokic, his mistakes are rare and his touch is impeccable.

Prediction: Jokic wins the Skills Challenge
