It’s already been a surprising season for the Denver Nuggets, but what surprises could still be in store? Here are 3 hot takes for the rest of the season.

Hot takes. Bold predictions. Whatever you want to call them, we’ve all made them.

Whether it’s that 15-seed that is definitely going to upset the 2-seed or the second-round draft pick who will crack the opening day starting 5, everybody wants to be the one who called it before it happened.

Some — like ESPN’s Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith — have even made a living off it.

But not all hot takes are created equal. Some are just a little hotter than others.

Let’s not forget Stephen Jackson saying the 2006-07 “We Believe” Warriors team could beat the 2015-16 Warriors — who were 51-5 at the time and finished 73-9.

But before the season started, saying the Nuggets would be 39-18 at the All-Star break — and sitting in second place in the Western Conference — would have drawn a few confused looks.

Saying the 56th overall pick in last year’s draft would be playing over 25 minutes a night on that team — who leads the league in Man Games Lost with 246 — would have drawn even more.

So, just because it’s crazy doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wrong.

Keep that in mind as I lay out 3 Denver Nuggets hot takes for the rest of the season.
