3 Takeaways: Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers
The Denver Nuggets picked up an impressive win over the Los Angeles Clippers in an afternoon game, winning 123-96.
The Denver Nuggets, coming off of a win against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, pushed their record to 2-0 after the All-Star break with a 123-96 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The victory means that Denver wins the season series with the Los Angeles, earning the tiebreaker in seeding if the teams finish with the same record.
This was a dominant win for the Nuggets. The team never trailed and was up by eight at halftime, but ended up dominating the Clippers in the second half of the game, playing tight defense and hitting shot after shot.
The Nuggets are absolutely dominant at home, as they improved their record at the Pepsi Center to 26-4, which is the best home record in the NBA. Denver at home is scary for any team, as they seem to play with higher energy and feed off of the crowd. After losing to the Clippers 132-111 on December 22 at Staples Center, the last two games against Los Angeles at home have yielded much better results.
With all of that being said, let’s take a look at what we can takeaway from the results of this victory.
