Denver Nuggets: The most fun team in basketball

A side effect of Nikola Jokic’s unique skill set is highlight plays and a constant urgency to move the basketball. This makes for pretty basketball, hence why the Nuggets are the best team to watch in the NBA.

Nikola Jokic is the premier passing big in the league. This makes for some amazing highlight plays that we’ve been able to witness over the last couple of seasons. Below is just one example of how Nikola Jokic makes basketball look so beautiful.

The elite passing just makes dunks and layups look so much more exciting, and when this is happening four or fives times in a game, this becomes a fun team to watch.

The next reason is Mike Malone’s style of play. No hero ball. Every man is equal and responsible in his offense. This makes the ball movement special as every player is looking for that perfect shot, and some of the passes they pull of are just magical. This play is a prime example.

Another reason this time is so fun is because it runs on pure chemistry and chaos. Nikola Jokic is unpredictable, half the time he doesn’t even know what he’s gonna do. Mike Malone said he was gonna run less play calls and just let the guys learn through trial and error. Unpredictably brings extreme displays of skill and these are always mesmerizing to watch.

Fun doesn’t always translate to a good basketball team. However in this case it’s the sense of just how good this team is that creates the fun. The elite level of passing ability  and skill from Nikola Jokic, the unpredictability of the Nugget’s offense and the unselfishness of the players just combine together to make a highlight reel team that is ready to take on the playoffs. It’ll be fun to watch.
