Paul Millsap is turning into a bargain

It’s hard for some people to think of Paul Millsap as a bargain, especially considering his age and the amount of money he is owed. However, against the Lakers, Millsap played 40 minutes of high level basketball, guarding one of the best players of all-time in LeBron James, and even getting a bit fiery after a few missed calls against him. Millsap finished the game with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

There was a lot of debate as to whether Millsap should be brought back to the team next year. He is making $30 million dollars this year and has a team option for $30 million dollars next year. At his current level of play, he is a valuable piece of this Nuggets team, and the defensive and veteran presence that he brings is priceless.

A healthy Millsap is the best thing for this Denver team. When he is playing at a high level, the Nuggets usually feed off of his play and play better on both ends of the floor.
