The Nuggets excel in the clutch

Games like these are what have defined the Nuggets this season. They have excelled in close games, as they are 12-3 in games decided by three points or less. This team has grown up, and it’s been a pleasure to watch.

Seeing a group of player with such a young core play so well in high pressure situation is a great thing to see both for the stretch run and for the playoffs. The playoffs can be a different animal, but the Nuggets and their clutch gene might not fade, even when the big dogs come out to play.

Finding themselves down by 18 points in the second quarter, the Nuggets dug deep and cut the Pacers lead down to three points by the end of the half.

While Denver turned up the pressure in the second half, the fact that they struggled a bit in the first half leads right into the next takeaway.
