Denver Nuggets: Ranking Denver’s playoff opponents

Nuggets Record vs. Spurs: 1-2
What? The Spurs? The Nuggets have a losing record against San Antonio this year — and the Spurs have been hot lately!
I know, this one may be questionable — especially with a recent victory clinching the season sweep over OKC fresh on our minds. But hear me out.
First, the Spurs have been bonkers at home. At AT&T Center, the Spurs are 30-8. But with that comes just a 14-24 on the road.
If the Nuggets and Spurs play in the playoffs — barring a huge Denver collapse — the Nuggets will have home court advantage. And both of the Nuggets losses vs. the Spurs this season have come in San Antonio.
Second, the Spurs have looked good lately. There’s no doubting that. LaMarcus Aldridge has looked like the player he was in his prime in Houston, and DeMar DeRozen has been lights out from mid-range — scoring with an array of turn around jumpers in the post.
And you can never underestimate Gregg Popovich. He’ll have them prepared, no matter who they have to play.
But Aldridge and DeRozen have to cool off eventually. Both are All-Star caliber players, but neither are going to be the best player on a team that makes a deep playoff run.
