Denver Nuggets: Ranking Denver’s playoff opponents

Nuggets Record vs. Jazz: 1-2
Personally, I have no idea how to feel about the Jazz. All the signs point to the Nuggets being the better team — and the Nuggets probably like their odds in a seven-game series against Utah — the Jazz are still just a little scary.
The last two Nuggets losses to the Jazz have been dissapointing — and more rife with excuses than good takeaways.
The first time, Jokic showed out, but he didn’t get any help. The last time, Big Honey got into foul trouble and the Nuggets second team — in the peak of the Isaiah Thomas experiment and in fully disarray — fumbled the game in the second quarter.
But, all-in-all, the Nuggets do matchup pretty well against the Jazz. Jokic has had success against Rudy Gobert. And the Nuggets have contained Donovan Mitchell — relatively at least.
He’s got his. But he’s taken more than his fair share of shots. In three games against the Nuggets, Mitchell scored 16 points on 22 shots, 35 points on 25 shots and 24 points on 19 shots.
We’ll have a better feel — or maybe just more updated — after an April 9 game in Utah on the season’s penultimate day.
