In game one against the Spurs, Jamal Murray and Will Barton struggled from the field shooting a combined 13 of 38 from the field as well as 1 of 11 from three-point range, but in game 2 Murray shined as he fueled the late fourth quarter run that sealed the game for the Nuggets.

While guard Garry Harris has looked good in both games in Denver so far Denver’s other starting guards of Murray and Barton have looked like shells of them former selves. Jamal Murray through seven quarters in games one and two had 20 points in the series on 8 of 31 shooting while Will Barton after showing flashes of good play in game one, was a non-factor in game two scoring just 3 points and shooting 1 of 10 from the field, 0 of 6 from three.

The Nuggets don’t need spectacular performances out of Murray and Barton to win games in San Antonio, but the Nuggets do need their pair of struggling guards to at least show up and contribute if the Nuggets want to nab a rare win in San Antonio a place where the Spurs have only lost 9 games all season.
