Denver Nuggets: 3 things to watch going into the Semi-finals
If the Nuggets win the series against the Trailblazers either of the two teams they could meet in the Western Conference Finals are going to be difficult challenges to beat in a seven game series.
For most of the season the Western Conference has been leading up to the clash between The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets as two teams who look like the two biggest contenders for a title in the Western Conference.
Golden State is chasing history looking to become one of only a handful of teams who have even won three championships in a row, as well as making the finals five years in a row, something that isn’t lost to any of the players who have been on the roster during this run of dominance over the league.
However, if there was one team who has given the Warriors the most trouble during this run of dominance it has to be the Houston Rockets as the only team to force the Warriors to a full seven game series since signing Kevin Durant.
James Harden has had an all time offensive season, and Chris Paul appears to be as healthy as he has been all season entering the second round of the playoffs.
For the Nuggets however they can’t look forward towards the Western Conference Finals if they hope to beat this tough Portland team who feels they have a real shot at beating anyone in the playoffs.
Game one of the Nuggets Portland series begins at 10:30 EST Monday Night in Denver for game one, where the Nuggets look to defend home court and begin the series with crucial wins before the series moves to Portland for games three and four.
