Seth Curry is an excellent three-point shooter the Denver Nuggets could add to their Roster.

The Denver Nuggets should consider pursuing Seth Curry this offseason.

Seth Curry played surprisingly well for the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2019 playoffs.

Seth Curry would fit in well with the Nuggets and would be a great addition to their bench. He could provide good three-point shooting off the bench.

Seth Curry is one of the best catch-and-shoot jump shooters in the NBA. For his career, Seth shoots 43.9% from three-point range and averages 3.6 3-point attempts per game. Per 100 possession, Seth averages 8.3 three-point attempts per game for his career.

Like his brother, Curry is a sniper from the three-point line. His Career 3-Pt Field Goal Percentage is the third highest in NBA history. Moreover, last season he was third in the NBA in 3-Pt Field Goal Percentage.

He is not a high volume three-point shooter like Stephen Curry, but he can shoot well from behind the arch.

He also has shown signs of being a good defender. Per 100 possessions for the Trail Blazers, Curry has a defensive rating of 114.

Curry played 18.9 MPG for the Trail Blazers during the regular season and 20.4 MPG during the playoffs. More impressively, he averaged 3.3 three-point attempts per game in the playoffs. He also has some playoff experience and played in the Western Conference Semifinals.

The Blazers were able to play at their fastest pace in the 2018-19 season with Seth in the lineup. Of the Trail Blazers 20 fastest paced lineups in the 2018-19 season,10 of them included Seth. Moreover, 3 of their four fastest paced lineups included Seth.

Moreover, per 100 possessions, the three lineups the Blazers played last season that gave them the most three-point attempts included Seth.

Seth’s ability to play fast-paced basketball would make him an excellent shooting-guard for the Nuggets.

Curry does have a significant amount of injuries that have derailed his playing time. He is also 28 years old. However, signing Seth would likely not be too expensive for the Nuggets. He is 28 and could play well for the Nuggets for at-least the next five years.

Seth earned $2,795,000 with the Trail Blazers for the 2018-19 season. The Nuggets with a semi-lucrative longterm contract could lure him away from the Trail Blazers.  Also, adding Seth to the Nuggets’ bench further weakens the Trail Blazers.

Seth Curry could be another valuable piece the Nuggets could add to their bench.
