The Denver Nuggets have a budding star in Malik Beasley, and he has some high hopes for 2019-20 that could give him some great results by year’s end.

The Denver Nuggets’ bold predictions series rolls on with Malik Beasley as today’s topic. Beasley is one of the brightest young stars on this team. His athleticism makes him a threat to put opponents on a poster every time down the floor, and his offense was the best of his three-year career last season in his massively increased role. In 2019-20, he has a chance for his role to grow even more while he continues to move up the bench player rankings.

In the 2018-19 season, per-36 minutes, Beasley averaged 17.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists. Coming off the bench, his job is to put up points, and that’s exactly what he did. Among rotation players, he was third on the team in scoring per-36 minutes. Beasley is a foundational building block for this team, and he’s going into a contract year.

If he wants to get paid handsomely in restricted free agency, he’s going to have to take some major steps. He has the talent to do so, and he could force Denver to match whatever offer he gets rather than losing him. If he’s able to hit a few of the goals we’ve set for him already along with some of the more out-there predictions we have for him, Beasley could be this year’s breakout player in the entire league.
