The Denver Nuggets look to close out their home-stand with one more win before heading out on a five game road trip.

In winning eight of their last nine games, the Denver Nuggets have found a number of different ways to be successful on the court. Their win over the Memphis Grizzlies included Michael Porter, Jr.’s best game to date in the NBA, a vintage Nikola Jokic game as he notched his 35th career triple-double and the team’s best defensive quarter of the season, holding the Grizzlies to just 11 points in the first frame.

Sacramento comes into the Pepsi Center reeling after a missed buzzer-beater by Harrison Barnes sent them to their sixth straight loss. Their last two losses were by a combined three points ,both at home against the Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves, so the Kings will be hungry for a victory in Denver.

Both teams will be playing in the second game of a back-to-back, so while neither team will be coming in rested, the depth of Denver’s bench will certainly be an advantage, especially if Paul Millsap is able to play after sitting out Denver’s win on Saturday afternoon with a quad contusion.

The Nuggets starters, minus Mason Plumlee, who was in for the injured Millsap, all played at least 33 minutes on Saturday, as well as 32 minutes for Jerami Grant off of the bench, so getting quality minutes from the reserves will be an important factor on Sunday night.

One bench player, in particular, that would like to build upon the momentum from his Saturday afternoon performance is rookie Michael Porter, Jr.
