The uninspired basketball Denver Nuggets fans witnessed on Christmas seems like a distant memory in light of the back-to-back victories this past weekend. Although the Denver Nuggets beat two sub-.500 teams by a combined measly 14 points, wins aren’t categorized by strength.

Once again, it seems as if the Denver Nuggets caught another break in competition. The 2018 regular season MVP, James Harden, is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s contest in Houston. Also, the starting center Clint Capela, suffering from a heel contusion, deemed questionable

Nonetheless, Houston Rocket’s dependable sixth-man, Eric Gordon, returns from his 6-week hiatus upon knee surgery recovery. Not to mention, the unpredictable Russell Westbrook adds another dimension to Tuesday’s game.

The Rockets need all the reinforcements possible to outduel the fifth-highest ranked defense in the league. Needless to say, Denver’s defense is allotted with a more manageable task Tuesday night. However, the Nuggets recently exposed its tendency to play down to its competition.

Westbrook is known for putting teams on his back, although not always a beauty to watch, can get the job done with his polarizing play. Denver has a chance to win a game versus a Western Conference playoff contender before going on a three-game Eastern Conference road trip.
