Josh Green – Arizona

Arizona’s Josh Green is ready as a three-and-D prospect right now although he has much to learn. At 19-years-old, this is to be expected but his ability to be a full-time starter as a freshman for a highly-regarded program shows just how strong of a player he can be once he develops.

Green, 6’6″ and 210 pounds, averaged 12.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 42.4% from the field and 36.1% from three-point range.

He’s not a great shot-creator, needing work as a ball-handler, finisher and passer. However, he’s a quick decision-maker, which is what allowed him to average nearly three assists per game.

Defensively, Green shows excellent athleticism and anticipation, with the size and fluidity to guard every perimeter player. He’s shown quick hands, leading to him racking up steals on-ball and in passing lanes. His off-ball defense needs to improve but there’s no reason to think that it won’t.

He’ll be a player who gets his shots by playing off the players around him but he would be, at the least, a solid rotation player.
