Free agency may give the Denver Nuggets the options they need at center this offseason.

With speculation that backup center Mason Plumlee may be out of the Denver Nuggets’ price range this offseason when he becomes an unrestricted free agent, the Nuggets may have to look to free agency to replace their dependable big man.

There are many that may be thinking that as last year’s first-round pick (Bol Bol) is a center, he could be the next in line. However, though Bol is a talented big man who can space the floor and protect the paint, he has an injury history that’s concerning.

Even if Bol (the son of Manute Bol) was to make it into the Nuggets’ rotation following Plumlee’s departure, they would need to have a big man behind him that they could call on in the event that Bol suffered another injury.

Looking at the list of upcoming free agents, there are a number of solid options at center and quite a few who the Nuggets could afford. Players that could be short-term signings as well, allowing Denver to develop Bol while making a playoff push.
