With the NBA season stopped for the time being, which of the Denver Nuggets’ 43 wins rank as the best?

The Denver Nuggets have enjoyed a pretty strong season so far, posting a 43-22 record with 17 games still outstanding. Of those 43 wins, many came against the bottom tier of the league, as the team was simply taking care of business. The Nuggets, as usual, were dominant at home. They finished 25-8 on their home turf, but had a significantly harder time on the road. Away from the Pepsi Center, Denver managed just 18-14.

The Nuggets had several primetime matchups with other powerhouses throughout the league that they barely squeaked by in, like their January 8th win over the Dallas Mavericks by a final of 107-106. The team was also part of the last nationally televised game of the season, when they fell to the same Mavericks in Dallas as word of the NBA’s suspension of play spread through the NBA community like jet fuel.

The Nuggets play in a division with several formidable foes like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, and Utah Jazz. As a result, the Nuggets played those three teams seven teams throughout the season. While every NBA game counts the same, the Nuggets were able to help establish themselves as a premier threat out west after several impactful wins that not only pushed them up in the standings, but gave them respect around the league as a team that could advance further in the playoffs than they did a season ago.
