The Denver Nuggets will take the floor tonight for their final scrimmage game before the resumption of the regular season later this week.

The Denver Nuggets have been a little up and down to this point in their scrimmage season, as they, like all teams, continue to adjust to the normal in the bubble league in Orlando. The Nuggets won their first game against the hapless Washington Wizards with their now infamous “mile high lineup”, but dropped their second contest to the New Orleans Pelicans.

In both games, the Nuggets only played eight players. This game will be their last chance to get more exposure to the rest of the roster. The Nuggets already have found several players that they can potentially rely on more than they originally thought, as Troy Daniels and Bol Bol have been pleasant surprises to this point.

Daniels is coming off a 28-point performance against the Pelicans after knocking in seven three pointers. Bol himself has made four three balls over the two games, and has shown a rare ability to get up and down the floor despite his extreme size.

While holding no bearing on the overall seeding of the Western Conference, the Nuggets would be thrilled to pick up a win and gather some momentum heading into their first regular season game. Denver currently sits at third in the conference and has a real shot to overtake the Clippers for second.

Next. What we've learned through scrimmage so far. dark

If things pan out the way they are looking right now, the Nuggets would face off against the Houston Rockets in a first round matchup, which would be a fascinating showdown between two teams with entirely different offensive and defensive e philosophies. The Nuggets are happy to use lineups that don’t utilize backcourt play much at all, whereas the Rockets are the exact opposite.

The Nuggets have one more chance tonight to sort out the rest of the kinks in their rotation. Their first regular season game is Saturday against the Miami Heat.
