The Denver Nuggets’ three scrimmage games proved that the team’s main strength is their depth.
The Denver Nuggets went 1-2 in their three scrimmage games, defeating the Washington Wizards before falling to the New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic.
Throughout these scrimmages, Nuggets fans were excited to see the emergence of Bol Bol, the return of Michael Porter Jr. and a slimmed-down Nikola Jokic. In addition, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone played a plethora of lineups that featured multiple big men, which was as novel as it was exciting and — at times — necessary.
There were many takeaways from the Nuggets’ scrimmages, including the fact that the team’s defense was disappointing and that the supersized lineups were intriguing. However, the main takeaway from Denver’s scrimmages is that their depth continues to be the team’s strength.
