Who will be LA’s third option?

There is a similarity between Denver and Los Angeles, as neither have a go-to player that’s third in their pecking order. As long as Denver puts the necessary pressure on both Davis and James, the Lakers will be forced to find a consistent scoring option this series.

Anthony Davis (27.6 points per game in the playoffs) and LeBron James (26.6 points per game in the playoffs) are obviously the two most reliable scorers for the Lakers. Kyle Kuzma (11 PPG) has been a common choice as their third option but battles issues with both his consistency and defensive meltdowns.

Rajon Rondo (10.6 points and 7.0 assists per game this postseason) came back to LA’s rotation last week after suffering a fractured thumb and was a key contributor against the Houston Rockets. Danny Green (38.5% from shooting from 3 this postseason) found his shooting touch last series as well.
