Make Grant the top priority

Out of this quartet, Grant has proven that he’s the most important player thanks to his two-way ability and how his athleticism compliments the Nuggets’ frontcourt. Grant has already mulled over the possibility declining his $9.3 million player option for the 2020-21 season in hopes up securing a more lucrative contract.

After steadily improving over the course of his career, and being the third-most impactful player for Denver during their playoff run, keeping Grant in a Nuggets uniform should be the team’s primary priority.

A three-year or four-year contract that pays him between $20-25 million per season should be enough to keep him in Denver but that will have a direct impact on their ability to bring back Millsap.
