Mason Plumlee

Back to the topic of impending free agents.

Where Jerami Grant and Paul Millsap are two players who the Denver Nuggets obviously want to bring back, Mason Plumlee is one free agent that I don’t think the team will miss that much. Of course, if the only games that anyone ever saw were in the 2020 NBA Playoffs, Plumlee would luck expendable as any player.

His presence on the glass and his ability to impact some shots around the rim was overshadowed by his lack of capability as a scorer, several missed shots in the paint, defensive miscues (one of which cost the Nuggets a game) and a growing lack of confidence.

At this point, the only reason to bring Plumlee back is if Denver doesn’t believe the talented Bol Bol is ready to be a rotation player. His chemistry with the Nuggets after more than three seasons with the team is another factor.

However, there are a few teams that could see Plumlee as a valuable addition to their team and be willing to outbid Denver for him.
