Nuggets: Nikola Jokic marries longtime girlfriend Natalija Mačešić

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic has tied the knot.

In a bit of lighthearted news, Denver Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokic married his longtime girlfriend — Natalija Mačešić — on Saturday.

The 25-year-old Sombor native can be seen jubilantly singing and dancing with his wife, whom he has been in a relationship with since they were both 16. Mačešić, who played volleyball at Seminole State College from 2013 to 2015, graduated from Metropolitan State with a degree in psychology in 2018 (per The Gazette).

Jokic is just the second current Nuggets player to get married, joining veteran Paul Millsap on that exclusive list.

Having been a potent offensive force throughout the majority of Denver’s playoff run, The Joker is in the prime of his life. The highly-paid face of an elite Western Conference team, Jokic’s companions are his loving wife and playful brothers.

The only concern Jokic should have now is determining how much time he can devote to a honeymoon and relaxation with the start of the 2020-21 season right around the corner. Soon to embark on what will be his sixth season in the NBA, Jokic will be tasked with leading every Nuggets player to a ring.

For now though, Jokic can and should continue to enjoy his creature comforts.
