Denver Nuggets: Nikola Jokic is incredible

It won’t be long now until we hear the Nikola Jokic introduced to a playoff game as “your 2020-21 NBA Most Valuable Player… Nikola Jokic!” and I already have goosebumps.

Jokic is having an amazing season and it seems like not long ago when he was frustratingly slapping down on guards at half court after not getting the call he wanted on the offensive end. Now he’s averaging 26.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 8.4 assists on the season with 58-39-87 shooting splits.

He’s also doing it in just under 35 minutes a night (did I mention he has played every single game this season) meaning he should have plenty of gas left in the tank for the upcoming playoffs, proving the world, once again, that he’s the best center in the league today.

And the Sombor Shuffle, his signature shot, still amazes me every time it tickles the twine. It might be the most deflating shot for opposing teams as they generally do everything right on defense before this huge Serbian takes a step back and launches a jumper on their head.
