Denver Nuggets post-FA depth chart: Center

Starter: Nikola Jokic

Not only is he the best center on the roster, he’s the best in the entire league.

Backup: Zeke Nnaji

Nugg Love contributor, Carter Frye, recently outlined Zeke Nnaji’s case for the backup center role. His floor spacing, athleticism, and fit in the rotation all factor into that analysis.

He didn’t touch the court much this past season, but Malone has a penchant for not playing rookies many minutes since this team made it into title contention. Entering his second season, he should be ready to assume a larger role in the rotation.

If Nnaji still isn’t ready, Malone could go with Millsap or JaMychal as the backup center, move Jeff Green down to backup PF and hope his guard rotation can make up the difference on the wing.

Third string: Bol Bol

Bol Bol is a fan favorite and the proud owner of a guaranteed contract. The latter there means the front office believes in his ability to be a true contributor to the team, we just haven’t seen it yet.

After free agency, Bol finds himself with a larger role than last season, can he contribute? We’ll have to wait and see.
