Lance Stephenson has hosted a private workout with four NBA teams in Las Vegas, hoping to get back into the league. The Denver Nuggets were one of the interested teams.

As he told Chris Haynes, Yahoo! Sports on Posted Up recently, he’s excited to get back into the NBA, saying that it’s hard to watch basketball while on the outside looking in.

The last time Lance Stephenson played in an organized basketball league was back in 2019 when he played for the Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association. Before that, Stephenson bounced around the block to teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Charlotte Hornets.

Stephenson is most known for his years in Indiana. Where he averaged career-high numbers in the 2013-2014 regular season. With up and coming star Paul George on his side, he averaged 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists.

The Pacers entered the playoffs as the number one seed for the third time in franchise history. After squeezing past the Atlanta Hawks in seven games and defeating the Washington Wizards in six, Indiana faced the defending champion, the Miami Heat.

During the Eastern Conference Finals, Stephenson went viral on social media when he famously pestered LeBron James by blowing in his ear while waiting for a free throw attempt. Unfortunately for Lance, the Heat eliminated the Pacers in six games and ended their season.

Fast forward seven years, and here we are, debating if Lance Stephenson would be a good fit for Denver Nuggets basketball. Arguments can be made for both sides of signing Stephenson; we will explain why he would NOT fit.
